Sunrise breakfast and cruise around the clear & emerald water to another part of Halong bay with a close up view of stunning limestone peaks. such as Drum cave , Man’s head Islet….Heading to Van Gia fishing village, you will have the opportunity to understand more about the fishermen’s daily life. Having lunch on board with a variety of local foods, enjoying the rest of the boat trip before back to Halong dock. Have a short break before en route to Hanoi . Trip ends around 4h30 pm. Itinerary:

Night 1: Pick up from Hanoi Rendezvous  hotel to Hanoi station for boarding the train at 20.30 pm, You will be sharing cabins of AC soft sleepers with 3 other passengers to travel up Lao Cai town.

Day 1:  Lao Cai – Sapa, trek to Ta Van (~ 4 hours)
The train arrives in Lao Cai at 6.30 a.m, our driver or tour guide with the sign of your name will welcome you. On a Russian jeep, we ride to Sapa in about 1.5 hours, you will be taken to a small guesthouse for a morning showers then your breakfast at a local restaurant here. We will get a short ride from Sapa to our trekking base, we start here and will trek through the villages of H`mong, chances to meet the locals working on the mountainsides or the rice terraces. We will break for a picnic lunch en route, keep trekking to Ta Phin village of the Zay and H`mong people where you will be warmly welcomed by the host, share the dinner with them, and stay at their traditional house. Day 2: More trek and back to Sapa
At the first of gleam of daylight, you will see the locals here start working early, you can join them at some of their activities, like feeding the animals; cleaning their houses, garden or preparing breakfast…After today’s breakfast, we will be trekking down hills on a valley route and back up hill to a main road (~4 hours). Alternatively, for this long trek, you can do it at your own pace to do some light walk this morning in about 1 hour, results more time to be with the host family and other locals in the villages. For both options, you will be supported with our jeep back to Sapa (30 min). Our late lunch served here in Sapa town and you will have this afternoon relaxing in town. Overnight in hotel in town. Day 3: Sunday: Sapa to Bac Ha market and night train to Hanoi
Getting up early for breakfast, checking out the hotel, and then driving down to Bac Ha market (106 km from Sapa). When we are about to arrive, we will see a lot of hill tribes carrying with them the home-made products or pulling dogs, buffalos on their way heading to the market. You are free to get around the market and witness their trading activities, please be soft and nice to the locals since they will not like being taken photo without their permission. You might like to have your lunch here at the stall inside the market? Let’s see what is like then you can decide there In the afternoon, we transfer to Lao Cai town before dark, dinner at your own before our train ride at 8.50 p.m back to Hanoi. Arrive into Hanoi by 4.30 a.m. Please order our private pickup service or find your own way back to your hotel, taxi normally costs you a set of USD4

What to bring: It is wise to travel light, here are things you have; passport, comfortable footwear for trekking, rain gears, hat, sun cream, warm clothing, change of clothes, towel, camera with lots of films, medical kits and your sense of adventure.

The train arrives in Lao Cai in the early morning, our driver or tour guide with the sign of your name will welcome you. You will be driven to Sa Pa in about 1 hour. Once you arrive, a morning shower will be offered and later on breakfast is served. The new day will be started with the visit to Cat Cat  and Sin Chai villages down in  Muong Hoa valley. Enjoy the spectacular views of the beautiful valley towards Fansipan – highest peak in Vietnam and Indochina. Trek through the villages of Black H’mong ethnic minority to learn the way people weaving and embroidering their clothes, keep going down to enjoy colourful rice paddy fields and the interesting waterfall. Trek back to Sa Pa. In the afternoon free time to discover Sa Pa town and market.

Night 2 : Overnight in hotel in Town
Day 2: Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van villages – Homestay (B/L/D)

Enjoy the breakfast then check out. Trek from Sapa towards Muong Hoa valley where you can admire the magnificent landscapes. Downhill trekking to visit Lao Chai and Ta Van villages home of Black H’mong and Dzay people. Then enjoy the picnic lunch. Once arriving Dzay family, refresh by a local cup of tea and start to learn the culture, custom and religion by chatting with them.
Later on, attending the cooking to make dinner. Dinner and overnight here.

Night 3: Overnight at local Dzay family

Day 3: Tavan – Giang Ta Chai – Sapa – Lao Cai station (B)
Wake up with the locals in the sound of pigs, chickens and the family dogs. The family is already on their feet preparing your breakfast. After breakfast, say good bye to the family and trek through a bamboo forest to Giang Ta Chai where you the Red Dzao are living. Meet and talk with people to learn more about their daily life, customs and traditions. Pass over the Cau May Bridge then back to Sapa Town. Shopping around or free to visit around the town (Dragon mount, Orchid garden…)
Leave the town for Lao Cai railway station at around 16:30 pm. Then boarding a night train back to Ha Noi.

Night 4 : Night train back to Hanoi
Day 4: Hanoi
The train arrives at Hanoi in the early morning, Hanoi Rendezvous Hotel staff will pick you up, and escort you back to the hotel (optional)

Day 1: Hanoi – Ha long Bay – Welcome on board

07:45 Pick up by shuttle bus then transfer to Halong Bay
12:15 Arrive Halong Bay then transfer by tender to the Indochina Sails boat – enjoy Welcome Drink. Receive cruise briefing and check in to cabins and begin cruise.
13:00 Lunch – deluxe Vietnamese and International Set Menu.
14.30 Arrive at Titop Island. Enjoy swimming, relaxing on the beach and climbing the steps to the top of the mountain on the island for fantastic views and photo opportunities. Water and towels supplied. We will spend about 45 minutes on the island.
16.15 Arrive at the Bat Cave area. There are two programs to choose from at this time. One option is a 40 minute kayaking program to the nearby Bat Cave and lagoon and surrounding waters. Kayaking is $10. per person unless already booked as part of your package. Water is supplied.
The second option is to visit the largest floating fishing village in Halong Bay. We will travel to the village on the tender and tour the village for approximately 20 minutes.
18:30 Arrive at Luon Bo area – anchor for overnight.

20:30 Evening activities include: film entertainment in the dining room at approximately 9:15, board games and playing cards are available, join squid fishing from the boat with our crew, massage services are available. Also at this time we offer, when possible – depending on weather conditions, an excursion to a nearby squid fishing boat. We travel by tender and you will be able to board the squid boat and see how the local fishermen catch squid and other fish, the excursion lasts about 45 minutes.

Day 2: Ha long Bay – Hanoi
6:45 Coffee, tea and breakfast pastries served in the dining room.
7:00 Arrive at the Surprise Cave area, there is a small fishing village here. Relax onboard. You may join Tai Chi instruction on the sundeck at 7:00, duraion about 30 minutes.
8:00 Transfer by tender to the Surprise Cave. Walk up the 100 steps to the entrance of the cave and tour on foot for approximately 45 minutes.
9:00 Upon return to the boat take time to freshen up and please check-out of cabins. Please leave heavy luggage outside of the cabins (staff will transfer to the pier). Depart for Bai Chay/Halong pier.
9:30 Enjoy Breakfast Set Menu or Buffet served in the dining room. Settle bills in the dining room after breakfast.
10:00 Relax on the sundeck or in the dining room and enjoy the bay scenery as we approach the pier.
10:45 Arrive at Bai Chay/Halong pier.
11:00 Transfer by tender to the pier, relax inside the pier building while waiting for return transportation.

This is a 3 day trip to the north with accommodation at Topas Ecolodge.

The newly developed Topas Ecolodge is located 18 km from Sapa, deep in the Hoang Lien Mountains. The 25 lodges overlook the entire valley with the ethnic minority villages of Ban Ho and Than Phu 400 altitude meters below you.

Your journey will start from Hanoi with the soft sleeper night train to Lao Cai. Once in Lao Cai the next morning your driver will take you to the mountain town of Sapa (1550 m) and then straight to Topas Ecolodge. All together a journey of 2 hours.

Day to day program overview:

Day 1: On board the train Hanoi – Lao Cai (-,-,-)
Depart from Hanoi by  Ratraco or TSC night train. (Optional for upgrading to the luxurious Victoria Express.)

Day 2: Lao Cai – Sapa. Overnight in Victoria Sapa hotel (-,-,-)
Arrive in Lao Cai early in the morning. Your driver will then pick you up at the train station and transfer you straight to Victoria Sapa Hotel. The day is free to explore the area around Sapa. The Topas Travel Shop in Victoria Sapa Hotel can assist you with tours and information.

Day 3: Sapa – Topas Ecolodge (B,L,D)
After breakfast you depart from Victoria Sapa to Topas Ecolodge. The transfer takes approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival you will check in to your private bungalow.

Day 4: Topas Ecolodge – Sapa – Lao Cai - Hanoi (B,-,-)

Check out from Topas Ecolodge and transport to Sapa. You can enjoy a few hours in Sapa before departure to the train in Lao Cai that will take you to Hanoi.

Day 1: Lao Cai – Ethic market – Sa Pa (B/L/-)
Arrive at Lao Cai Train station in the early morning, you are welcomed by our local guide. Enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant. After that, we will visit one of the colorful tribal markets. The tour is subject to your visiting date:

Wednesday : Cao Son Market ( 81km from Lao Cai )
Thursday  : Lung Khau Nhin Market (65km from Lao Cai )

Lunch in town then transfer to Sapa for staying overnight. Dinner by your own arrangement.

Night 2: Overnight at hotel in Sapa

Day 2:  Sapa – Hill Tribe villages – Homestay (B/L/D)
After breakfast in the hotel, trek down to Cat Cat village of Black H’mong people to see their daily life activities, such as: rice cultivating, clothes weaving, brocade embroidering and indigo colour dyeing. Later on, back for lunch in Sapa town. Afternoon, downhill trekking to Lao Chai Village – home of  Black H’mong minority, trek through Muong Hoa Valley with many beautiful sceneries along the river then reach Ta Van village where you can pay a visit to a Dzay minority peole family. Dinner & homestay here.

Night 3: Homestay at Dzay family

Day 3: Tavan – Giang Ta Chai – Sapa – Lao Cai station (B/D)
Wake up with the locals in the sound of pigs, chickens and the family dogs. The family is already on their feet preparing your breakfast. After breakfast, say good bye to the locals and trek through a bamboo forest to Giang Ta Chai – home of Red Dzao people.  Meet and talk with people to learn more about their daily life, customs and traditions. Pass over the Cau May (Rattan) Bridge then back to Sapa Town by car. Lunch by your own arrangement. Free afternoon to discover Sa Pa town or shopping in the local market.
Leave the town for Lao Cai train station at around 16:00 pm. Dinner at a local restaurant and a night train back to Ha Noi.

Night 4 : Night train back to Hanoi

Day 4: Hanoi
The train arrives at Hanoi in the early morning, Hanoi Rendezvous Hotel staff will pick you up, and escort you back to the hotel (optional).

Day 1: Lao Cai – Sapa – Cat Cat and Sin Chai villages (B/L/D)

The train arrives in Lao Cai in the early morning, our driver or tour guide with the sign of your name will welcome you. You will be driven to Sa Pa in about 1 hour. Once you arrive, a morning shower will be offered and later on breakfast is served. The new day will be started with the visit to Cat Cat  and Sin Chai villages down in  Muong Hoa valley. Enjoy the spectacular views of the beautiful valley towards Fansipan – highest peak in Vietnam and Indochina. Trek through the villages of Black H’mong ethnic minority to learn the way people weaving and embroidering their clothes, keep going down to enjoy colourful rice paddy fields and the interesting waterfall. Trek back to Sa Pa for lunch. In the afternoon free time to discover Sa Pa town and market. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Night 2 : Overnight in hotel in Town

Day 2: Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van villages – Homestay (B/L/D)

Enjoy the breakfast then check out. Trek from Sapa towards Muong Hoa valley where you can admire the magnificent landscapes. Downhill trekking to visit Lao Chai and Ta Van villages home of Black H’mong and Dzay people. Then enjoy the picnic lunch. Once arriving Dzay family, refresh by a local cup of tea and start to learn the culture, custom and religion by chatting with them.
Later on, attending the cooking to make dinner. Dinner and overnight here.

Night 3: Overnight at local Dzay family

Day 3: Tavan – Giang Ta Chai – Sapa – Lao Cai station (B/D)

Wake up with the locals in the sound of pigs, chickens and the family dogs. The family is already on their feet preparing your breakfast. After breakfast, say good bye to the family and trek through a bamboo forest to Giang Ta Chai where you the Red Dzao are living. Meet and talk with people to learn more about their daily life, customs and traditions. Pass over the Cau May Bridge then back to Sapa Town by car. Lunch by your own arrangement, and shopping around or free to visit around the town (Dragon mount, Orchid garden…)
Leave the town for Lao Cai railway station at around 16:30 pm. Dinner at a local restaurant then boarding a night train back to Ha Noi.

Night 4 : Night train back to Hanoi

The train arrives at Hanoi in the early morning, Hanoi Rendezvous Hotel staff will pick you up, and escort you back to the hotel (optional)
